Amalia grew up in Buleleng as the fourth child. She lived with her parents and her younger brother. Due to the family’s challenging economic situation, she was forced to spend entire days helping her father selling fried foods on Udayana street.
After she graduated from high school, she was unable to attend University since her father could not afford to pay for her tuition fees. However, she kept encouraging herself to stay strong and pursue her goal to become a chef one day. As it is Amalia’s passion to learn about the art of cooking, she sees the skills education program at Bali WISE as her unique chance to realize her dreams.
