Tasya NataliaTasya (18) was born in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on February 4, 2001. Her father is a foreman, but he cannot work as hard as before due to his kidney disease. The family’s savings are all used up for her father’s health care. Tasya also could not go to a hospitality and tourism school she always wanted. Fortunately, she found information about Bali WISE program from social media. She saw an opportunity to work as a Front Office in the future since she likes to communicate with people. By joining Bali WISE program, she wants to help her father financially, as well as make him proud.

Marryenis Rossary Adelha Bunga

Marry (21) was born in Kupang on March 17, 1998. She is the third child of six siblings. Her father is a freelancer. His job is organizing and preparing documents for his clients to get bank loans. He also sells second-hand household furniture. On the other hand, her mother works as an honorary teacher in a remote village in a district with an income of 800,000 IDR/month, given every 3 months.

Marry and her parents live in different places for almost 8 years. Her mother and her two younger sisters live in Pedarro village, while her father lives with her in Kupang. Every two months, her father will visit her mother in Pedarro. Marry wanted to go to college, but her family could not afford it due to their financial situation. Her desire for education led her to find Bali Wise from the internet. Once she found out about Bali Wise, she applied for the scholarship right away. Marry hopes that one day she can help her family financially by getting a quality job.

Senda (20) was born in Rumah Tiga, Ambon, on October 3, 1999. She is the second of 4 siblings. Her father works as a bike-taxi driver from Monday to Saturday, with an average income of 700,000 IDR/month. Her mother is a housewife. Her sister had migrated to Makassar for work. Meanwhile, her younger siblings are still school students.

Senda had enrolled at a university but she did not proceed because she could not afford it. She also once went with her brother to Makassar to find a job. Unfortunately, she could not find any jobs, so she decided to return home. After getting information about the Bali WISE program from one of her colleagues, she was interested and registered. She wants to use this opportunity so that she can get a better job once she graduates.

Stephanie Gail Mataheru

Stephanie (22) was born in Ambon, Maluku, on January 8, 1998. She is the second of 4 siblings. Her father works as a construction worker with an average income of 750,000 IDR/month. Before working on a construction, her father will go fishing in the sea and later sells the fish at the market. Sometimes, Stephanie helps her father with fishing, and sometimes she helps her mother selling traditional snacks around the village, to add to the family’s income. Her sister had already migrated to Manado and her younger siblings are still school students. She knew the Bali WISE program from Mr. Tony Manusama, one of Bali WISE supporters from her village. She hopes that after studying in Bali WISE, she can get a decent job so that her family can get stability financially.

Serly Saput

Serly Saput

Saput (19) was born in Tanjung Karang, Lampung, on September 5, 2000. Since her parents are divorced, she lives with her grandparents. Her grandfather sells balloons for 10,000 IDR/ balloon at traditional markets, and the estimated income per month is around 500,000 IDR. The job does not provide a steady income, and sometimes it is only enough to cover daily meals. Things can get more difficult since her grandfather also pays for her sister’s school fees. Fortunately, Saput found out about Bali WISE and decided to join the program to get a decent job in the future, so that she can help her grandparents’ financial situation, especially to pay her sister’s school fees.
