Ayu is the daughter of a warung coffee seller, both of her parents are sick which makes them not able to work. Her mother is obese and her father is disabled since Ayu was 3 years old. Ayu lived with her grandparents who are still working as farmers with a monthly incomes of IDR 900,000.00. Ayu has 1 older sibling and she had a twin brother who passed away after birth. In her Hindu religion, it is believed that Ayu’s family needs to do a big ceremony for her twin brother who passed away to get rid of bad luck. Her family cannot afford that ceremony until Ayu is 18 years old. The day she was able to do her family ceremony is the day she also got accepted at Bali WISE. Ayu really hopes that she can get a good job since nobody in her family is working. Her older brother is unemployed since he quit his last job as a construction worker because he hasn’tbeen paid for a whole year. Her family survives only by Ayu’s grandparents’ money. Ayu wants to get a good job so she can support her family.
