Ni Made Suryani

Ni Made Suryani (19) has one older sister and one younger brother who lives in Padang Bai, Bali. Her father works as both a port laborer and as a sweeper to fulfill their living expenses and to help Suryani get her vocational high education. Her mother was sick and her father had to borrow money for Suryani’s education at that time. His monthly calculated income was IDR 500.000 during that period. For her siblings. her sister works as street vendor while her brother is an elementary school student with the support of her uncle and aunt. Although Juliantini’s father wants her to work after graduation, Suryani wants to further her studies and deepen her knowledge and skills in the Tourism field. She wants to join the BaliWISE program because their parents will not have to worry about her living expenses. Her dream is to establish a nursing home for the elderlies. In her village, many elderly were ignored by their children. For that reason, she wants to build one to take care of them.
