Week 9 | Term 2, May 31st – June 2nd | 2018 | Bali WISE Skills Education
Bali WISE had a special visit from Credit Suisse volunteers for 3 days. They visited started from May 31st – June 2nd. On the first day, they had a tour around Eco Park and were explained about natural dyes, scarf weaving with natural cotton and dyes, soap recycling, composting and seedling. After that, the volunteers and the Bali WISE staffs had a sharing and discussion session about Marketing Communication and Social Media. The discussion included the action plans to improve the social media marketing strategy and the effectiveness of oral communication to external audiences.
On the second day, the volunteers had another workshop session with staffs about Time Management. The purpose of the workshop was to improve the productivity, respect the workmates and manage the dateline. The volunteers also had the Exchange for Change session with Bali WISE basic students. It was really important to basic students because they are currently participating in the 3-months in-house training with R.O.L.E. and Bali WISE, which is the first part of the training program. After that they will have the training placements in 3 months. Therefore, it provided the students to learn and exchanged about challenges that volunteers have encountered in their personal and professional life and how did they overcome them also the career experiences of the Credit Suisse volunteers.
On the last day, the volunteers had Exchange for Change session with Bali WISE Vocational students who are currently having their 3-months in-house training. The purpose of the session was to help Bali WISE students prepared themselves to face obstacles and challenges in work life. Besides, the students also learned about career planning, goal setting skills and have a good interview. The Credit Suisse volunteers enjoyed the session as well as the Bali WISE students.
At the end of visit, there was wrap up session between the volunteers and R.O.L.E and Bali WISE staffs to share feedback of the volunteers and staffs about future planning and conception.
