Bali WISE empowers marginalized women through skills education, as a means to develop sustainable communities in Indonesia.
The program is built up in two parts: 3 months of education (English, hospitality training, environmental training, safety including Covid-19 measures, sexual education) and 3 months of internship at one of the upmarket resorts in Nusa Dua. On average, 87% of the girls get a steady job afterwards.
During these 6 months, Bali WISE provides a safe temporary home with food and accommodation, uniforms, educational books, and a monthly allowance.
The monthly allowance we provide is equivalent to what the students would be earning if they stayed in their village or had an unskilled job, so that the families are not discouraged from furthering their daughters’ education and thus open up opportunities to achieve better paid skilled work. The students can focus on their study without the stress of looking after their family during the six months Bali WISE program.
If you want to support the Bali Wise program by sponsoring a student either as an individual or as part of your company’s CSR program, please leave your contact details below. Fena Evans will contact you as soon as possible to provide any further information.
