Eighteen-year-old Winda graduated from senior highschool in Bengkulu, South Sumatra. She has one older brother who works as a driver and her father is a construction worker with a daily income of IDR 100,000 (approx. USD 7). Her mother used to work as a babysitter but she was unable to continue because of health issues, so she is a housewife now. Winda’s family did not own a house and for 13 years, lived in a rented house with a yearly cost of IDR 2,000,000 (approx. USD 145). At school, Winda was an active student; she joined a language club as well as any other club activities in her high school. She has a passion for languages and wants to learn as many language as she can. She really wanted to go to college, so after having graduated, she was searching for a scholarship. She found out about Bali WISE and was convinced that this was the right opportunity to reach her goal. In She is very interested in the hospitality sector and wants to meet new people and improve her English.
