On July 19th, 2025, the R.O.L.E. Foundation family joyfully celebrated its 18th anniversary with a vibrant event held at the ZeroWaste Center. The day kicked off with a traditional tumpeng cutting ceremony by Ms. Fena as the Executive Director and Mr. Rama as the Chief Operating Officer, whose presence highlighted the importance of this milestone and reinforced the foundation’s ongoing commitment to empowering women and fostering sustainable communities. This special occasion also served to honor Mike O’Leary, the founder of R.O.L.E. Foundation. His passion and dedication laid the groundwork for what the organization is today. May his legacy continue to inspire and guide the foundation’s mission for generations to come.
A Day Filled with Fun, Food, and Fellowship
The celebration was more than just a ceremony, it was a lively gathering that brought together staff, students, alumni, and teachers. Attendees enjoyed a variety of games designed to entertain and encourage bonding among the foundation’s community members. A generous spread of delicious food was laid out, ensuring everyone had the energy and appetite to fully participate in the day’s festivities. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, warmth, and a shared sense of accomplishment, reminding everyone present of the collective journey and impact of R.O.L.E. Foundation over the past 18 years.
A Memorable Closing with a Special Door Prize
To wrap up the anniversary event on a high note, a door prize raffle was held, bringing excitement and anticipation to the crowd. And the lucky winner was Fanni, a student from Intake 62, who walked away with a brand new rice cooker. The success of this memorable celebration would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of the entire R.O.L.E. Foundation staff. From planning to execution, every team member played a vital role in ensuring the event ran smoothly and was enjoyable for all attendees. Their commitment and passion truly shone through, making the 18th anniversary a day to remember. As the celebrations concluded, there was a strong feeling of optimism and motivation to continue the foundation’s impactful work for many years to come.
