Mental health workshops are important because they provide students with essential education, tools, and a supportive environment to address the unique challenges they face. It is needed for Bali WISE students, as they come from marginalized backgrounds and face economic pressures that lead them to stress, anxiety, and low self-confidence. On August 13, 2025, Empowering Awareness, an organization focused on empowering individuals to discover their inner strength, came to Bali WISE to give a three-hour mental health workshop for Intake 62 students, led by Ms. Agnes.

A Compass for the Inner Journey

Ms. Agnes began the session with a brief explanation of mental health and covered a wide range of topics. She taught the students about mental health awareness and the “3 Rs”: realize, recognize, and regulate. The workshop also included lessons on how to recognize the early stages of stress, different types of stress, how to manage it, and how to control emotions. To make the session interactive, Ms. Agnes led an icebreaker game and had the students roleplay as a speaker, listener, and observer.

Empowering Awareness, One Student at a Time

By the end of the workshop, most of the students found the session very helpful. They reported feeling more confident and realized they were not alone in their struggles. This workshop also provided them with valuable soft skills, such as how to be a good listener, observer, and speaker. However, the most important one, that students can recognize the importance of mental health and understand the common issues like stress, anxiety, and emotional imbalance. Big thank you to Ms. Agnes from Empowering Awareness for giving our students such important knowledge about mental health.
