On September 9, 2025, all twenty-six students from Bali WISE Intake 62 participated in a unique hands-on training workshop that was hosted by Twenty Milli Coffee and Roastery. This practical learning opportunity was designed to familiarize students with the fundamentals techniques of preparing coffee. The workshop kicked off with an introduction to Indonesian coffee, where students gained insights into the distinct taste profiles of various coffee beans.

Hands-On Experience at Every Stage of Coffee Preparation

Following that, students were introduced through the roastery’s different stations. Students were seen to be actively engaged from choosing and roasting the beans until the grinding and brewing the coffee beans. Under the close supervision of expert baristas, the students had the chance to pull perfect espresso shots, how to correctly froth milk, and attempt to pour latte art.

New Skills for Future Careers in Hospitality

By the end of the barista training workshop, the students were equipped with knowledge and skills that are relevant for their upcoming placements in the hospitality industry. This workshop not only provided the students with enhanced knowledge about coffee but also specific barista techniques, this also inspired them to consider this as a variable career option. Thank you to Twenty Milli Coffee and Roastery for equipping the students with knowledge and skills.
