Human trafficking remains a serious global crime that can affect anyone, anywhere, at any time. To address this issue, Bali WISE organized an anti-human trafficking workshop on November 13, 2025, for the students of Intake 63. By equipping students with the right knowledge and skills, Bali WISE aims to ensure they can recognize and prevent trafficking risks once they graduate.
Real Lessons, Real Protection
The workshop, led by Ms. Dinda, Recruitment Officer at Bali WISE, began with an introduction to human trafficking and featured a moving video testimony from a survivor who was deceived and trafficked to Cambodia. Ms. Dinda also highlighted other related dangers such as online scams, fake job offers, and online gambling, that often serve as gateways to trafficking. To strengthen their understanding, the students of Intake 63 were given an interactive task: to research suspicious job postings and present their findings to the class. Through this exercise, they learned how to spot red flags, analyze job requirements, and avoid being lured by unrealistic salaries or benefits.
Raising Awareness, Saving Lives
Bali WISE continues to demonstrate its dedication to empowering students through education on human trafficking, online scams, and fraud key components of its curriculum designed to prepare them for the realities of the modern world. This training goes beyond standard lessons by addressing specific and widespread risks that particularly affect young people, especially women, fostering a more critical, aware, and empowered mindset among students.
