Bali WISE student housekeeping training

A career in hospitality requires a delicate balance of sharp technical skill and creative flair. In the real professional field, a true dedication to creating clean, comfortable, and beautiful environments is what sets top-tier service apart. To help our students meet these industry expectations, Bali WISE consistently facilitates hands-on experiences that transform classroom theory into practical mastery.

31 enthusiastic students from Bali WISE Intake 65 arrived at the R.O.L.E. Foundation’s Bungalow Facility at the Zero Waste Center (ZWC). The mission for the day was immersive, providing a practical housekeeping rotation designed to give them their very first taste of professional room management.

Master the Logistics of the Hospitality Trolley

The practical lesson began by dividing the 31 students into two groups to facilitate smooth rotation across the facility. Under the guidance of their instructor, Mr. Putra, the students started with a comprehensive introduction to standard hotel housekeeping strollers. Mr. Putra explained the specific anatomy of each trolley, detailing their operational functions and how to correctly organize cleaning supplies. By learning how to maneuver and stock these tools safely, the students gained a realistic understanding of professional back-of-house logistics.

From Linen Recognition to Flawless Bed-Making

Once they mastered the equipment, the rotation shifted toward room presentation and comfort. Students learned to identify various types of resort linens, understanding their precise dimensions, functions, and folding standards. This knowledge was immediately put to the test during the bed-making session. Mr. Putra walked the groups through the entire sequence, from the base components to the final tucked sheet. With great enthusiasm, the students practiced each step repeatedly, perfecting the technical procedures required in a professional hotel environment.

Unlocking Creativity Through the Art of Towel Folding

Beyond the technical logistics of managing a room, the students of Intake 65 dived into a session dedicated to the art of towel folding. Armed with enthusiasm and a strong willingness to experiment, they applied their newly learned techniques to transform standard linens into beautiful, welcoming designs. The students proactively sought out reference styles and pushed themselves to explore completely new shapes, honing their artistic eyes in the process.
This phase of the lesson was all about exploration and building confidence. By learning how to shape unique designs, they discovered how to add a personal, creative touch to their practical work. It was a wonderful way to wrap up the day, proving that even the most hands-on skills offer plenty of room for imagination and personal flair.

Bridging Theory and Professional Success

Throughout the day, every student received the opportunity to directly practice their skills and develop their creativity at the same time. Inside the bungalow’s conducive learning environment, they were able to translate theory into immediate action. To equip them with the sharp capabilities and creative thinking needed to truly stand out, Bali WISE remains deeply committed to providing hands-on experience with quality facilities and professional instructors. Ultimately, this immersive approach ensures that every student choosing this career path is thoroughly prepared to confidently step into the professional hospitality world.
