Every three months, Bali WISE welcomes a new cohort of students and a fresh Intake. This time, it was our absolute joy to receive the students of Intake 67. After all the students arrived at Bali WISE, we hosted Orientation Day on October 5, 2026. Gathered at the ZeroWaste Center, a wonderful mix of students, staff, and volunteers came together to take part in this meaningful day.
Presentations and the Treasure Hunt Game

The event kicked off with warm opening remarks from the Director and the COO of the R.O.L.E. Foundation. Through brief yet inspiring speeches, both leaders welcomed and motivated the extraordinary young women standing before them. The program continued with staff introductions, a presentation on the Bali WISE scholarship program, and an overview of campus guidelines. We also held a dedicated question and answer session, giving every student the opportunity to speak up and engage.
Following the presentations, everyone jumped into an exciting Treasure Hunt game. Students were split into two teams named Group Asoy and Group Brilliance. Their first challenge was to create a team cheer, while staff and volunteers headed to their assigned stations to prepare the remaining missions. Once the cheers were ready, the groups performed them with boundless enthusiasm and energy. They were then given their very first clue to find the next station, eagerly working together to decipher each puzzle along the way.

The hunt featured four different stations with unique clues and missions leading up to the final challenge, where Group Asoy ultimately claimed victory. The game concluded with the opening of a treasure chest that revealed the ultimate prize, which was an afternoon trip to the beach. After revealing the main reward, everyone enjoyed a relaxing lunch break while the students explored the ZeroWaste Center grounds.
The celebration then moved to the coast as all students were brought to the beach to unwind under the care of our staff and volunteers. Together, we enjoyed popsicles to celebrate the day’s activities. The students were also assigned to create media content about their experience throughout the day. They spent the rest of the afternoon strolling along the shore and soaking in the ocean breeze to recharge after a full day of orientation. As 5:30 PM approached, everyone gathered together and returned to the Bali WISE dormitory.
More Than a Welcome, A True Celebration

With every new intake, the Bali WISE team strives to bring fresh concepts to orientation so it never feels repetitive. Our goal is to bring joy to everyone involved and create a meaningful beginning for the milestone story of each cohort during their time in the program.
This is far more than just an orientation day; it is a celebration of the brave young women who come to this place with one common goal of achieving their dreams. It serves as an expression of gratitude for their hard work from the application process all the way to their acceptance into the Bali WISE scholarship program. We aim to embrace every young woman from the very smallest step of her journey.
