In the vast and ever-evolving realm of the hospitality industry, skill, expertise, innovation, and creativity serve as the ultimate weapons in winning every battle. This holds true across every line of hospitality, including the essential realm of housekeeping. It stands as a vital pillar, defining the pure identity of service within a sanctuary of hospitality that strives second by second to guide guests into the beauty of their restful retreat.
Grounded in this reality, we sought to equip twenty-nine brilliant young women from Intake 67 who are striving to reach their dreams within this vast industry. We proudly sent them forth to gather as much wisdom and knowledge as possible at the Housekeeping 7th Expo 2026, a prestigious event hosted by the Housekeeping Community Indonesia (HCI).
Boundless Exploration Across Every Horizon
Under the soft morning sunlight of Saturday, October 17, 2026, these twenty-nine extraordinary young women gathered in the quiet courtyard of Bali WISE. After receiving a warm briefing and guidance from the accompanying staff, everyone joined in prayer before stepping gracefully onto their buses to begin the journey. Departing together at seven in the morning, their destination was The Stones Hotel Legian Kuta, the site of the grand expo. The ride was painted with bright sunbeams, lighthearted conversations, joyful laughter, and fluttery hearts, as this marked their very first field trip. Following a thirty minute journey through the unpredictable flows of Badung traffic, everyone arrived safely in the vibrant and bustling heart of Kuta.
One by one, these wonderful young women stepped off in orderly grace, walking together toward the Grand Ballroom at the center of The Stones. There, they were warmly greeted by Ibu Dayu, the contact person and event coordinator. Beside her stood Mr. Putra, our Housekeeping instructor, waiting faithfully to offer encouragement, directions, and special tasks for these remarkable students. With all necessary guidance complete, their individual adventures began. Each vendor booth was visited with radiant curiosity as they inquired about every product and system, spanning cleaning supplies and materials, amenities, bedding, refreshments, tableware, and so much more. Like thirsty deer seeking a fresh spring, they absorbed every vital detail from every display. After nearly an hour spent wandering the vendor area, our students gathered inside the Ballroom to witness the bed making competition about to commence.
Inside the ballroom, a festive ambiance enveloped every corner of the room. As the master of ceremonies offered a warm greeting, the atmosphere resonated with joyful rhythm throughout the space. Following the ceremonial proceedings by the management and organizers, the contest began. Filled with eager enthusiasm, these aspiring young women stepped closer to observe the competition attentively. Armed with notebooks, pens, and mobile devices to record the moments, they studied every technique showcased by the competing professional housekeepers. They marveled at the speed and precision of laying each linen layer, the art of tucking folds into crisp perfection, and the meticulous alignment of every pillow. It was truly a mastery of skill worth witnessing and emulating. Beyond technical precision, they observed how innovation and creativity walked hand in hand like a bride and groom during the towel folding session, where floral accents and decorative elements elevated the aesthetic of every bed. This experience offered fresh insight and a wonderful spark to ignite the creative spirit within the hearts of our Bali WISE students.
A Handful of Wisdom at the Journey’s End
After four hours of exploration and discovery, the time arrived to conclude the first field trip for Intake 67. Everyone returned to the buses with gentle order. Will this adventure end here? Of course not! This inaugural field trip serves as the first gateway for these bright scholars to unlock their minds to the incredible depth of housekeeping within the grand landscape of hospitality.
Through this single remarkable experience, we aim to inspire their passion for learning, extending far beyond this one expo and this single branch of hospitality. We will continue to nurture this euphoria across every area of hospitality they explore in the classrooms of Bali WISE, until they hold a rich reservoir of knowledge and experience to apply in their training and eventual professional careers. The journey back to Bali WISE that afternoon was filled with sweet stories, gentle laughter, precious memories, and a handful of valuable wisdom gained by every student.
