This spirit of dedication was vividly demonstrated by Kelompok Pelita, a group of final-semester students from the Tourism Business Department at Politeknik Negeri Bali. Diverse in age and background, they embody hospitality professionals who not only possess genuine talent, but also pour their hearts into their craft. On October 23, 2026, Kelompok Pelita brought this enthusiasm to Bali WISE, sharing their rich insights with 29 students of Intake 67 through an inspiring series of interactive workshops.
Cultivating Core Knowledge Through Immersive Workshops
On a bright morning, the energy at Bali WISE was palpable as Kelompok Pelita arrived. Welcomed warmly by the COO and staff, the group immediately connected with the students. Following heartfelt introductions, the team kicked off a comprehensive series of learning sessions. The opening session on the hospitality industry illuminated its true essence, breaking down core sectors, business categories, and the evolving future of the field, including the integration of artificial intelligence in modern operations. This topic sparked an engaging discussion, with 23 eager students seeking deeper insights. Next, the hotel operations module mapped out the complete guest journey, detailing the distinct roles of each department and the fundamental habits required for daily operational success. To round out the morning, students explored the core principles of service excellence, essential mindset formulas, and strategies for navigating critical operational challenges while meeting guest expectations across various departments.
After three immersive modules, everyone gathered for a sweet mid-morning refreshment break. The intermission allowed students and members of Kelompok Pelita to mingle, exchange personal stories, and build meaningful professional connections. Resuming after the break, the fourth session established industry standards for professional grooming and the ethical mindset needed to thrive in hospitality. The final module focused on front office operations, detailing the key responsibilities of front-office personnel. This lesson culminated in hands-on roleplaying exercises where students confidently practiced guest service interactions, earning enthusiastic applause from their peers and mentors.

Following the workshops, everyone gathered for a shared lunch generously provided by Kelompok Pelita. Sitting side by side, students and guests enjoyed warm conversations without barriers.
