In cooperation with PT. Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, Bali WISE undertook a recruitment trip to West Sumbawa to spread awareness about the Bali WISE Program and motivate candidates to sign up for the next Bali WISE intake.
Awareness for Bali WISE to recruit students from West Sumbawa
Bali WISE also reaches out to young women from other Indonesian islands outside of Bali, to empower these marginalized women through sponsored hospitality & life skills education and on-the-job training at one of our 5-star education partners. Because Bali WISE is relatively unknown in West Sumbawa, our team spent one full week in West Sumbawa for a variety of recruitment activities in several cities and villages, supported by PT. Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara.
The team visited the Sekongkang sub district, the Jereweh sub district, the Taliwang area, and Maluk. They did presentations in high schools and for the village heads and other government officials to share information about the Bali WISE Program. Through them, we hope to reach more women from West Sumbawa in the near future for the next intakes to come.
Socialization Highlight: Hospitality Talk show
On Thursday 10th February, Bali WISE collaborated with Amman Mineral and Bije Jari to conduct a hospitality talk show at Taliwang village. This event was a highlight of the socialization of the Bali WISE program. The event was attended by Dr. Zainudin, the Secretary of Tourism Office. He gave a speech to motivate the young generation in West Sumbawa for the hospitality and tourism industry.
During this event, Bali WISE and Bije Jari worked together to introduce their program and to get more students to sign up. A total of 40 students came to join the talk show. It took 3,5 hours including the presentation and question and answer session. The event ran very smoothly and even one of the local media reported on the event online:
A Successful Collaboration with Great Result
The Bali WISE team’s recruitment visit was very fruitful. Making sure that the information reached every corner of West Sumbawa, the team worked hard, met many stakeholders, and as a result, we already have quite a number of candidates signing up, who are now in the process of being interviewed and tested. A big thanks to PT. Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, and Bije Jari for making this recruitment visit a big success!
