Being a professional server means standing on the front lines for restaurants and hotels. They serve as the face and pride of the entire food and beverage division. Strong service skills and effective communication are essential. To equip Bali WISE students who choose this career path, Bali WISE, with the guidance of Miss Aprie, the F&B Service instructor, hosted a dedicated class to refine each student’s communication and service skills.

Mastering Essential Fundamentals

Held in the Bali WISE classroom, the session began with an attendance roll call. Following this, Miss Aprie promptly launched into the lesson by demonstrating proper communication styles, appropriate language, and welcoming body language needed when greeting guests at a restaurant or hotel. Next, she demonstrated correct tray holding techniques, followed by the proper hand positioning required when lifting trays loaded with glass bottles. She also demonstrated proper posture and walking form while carrying a full tray, as well as the appropriate etiquette to observe when facing guests.

Every student observed Miss Aprie’s demonstration with deep attention. Once completed, students took turns practicing everything from guest welcoming communication to the techniques of lifting, carrying, and walking with a tray. Throughout the exercise, Miss Aprie continuously provided constructive feedback and corrections, encouraging the students through every step of their practice.

Effective Simulation for Practical Skill Growth

Through this interactive class, our goal is for every student to learn and refine their skills in the field of F&B Service. Simulation classes allow students to gauge their current abilities and stay motivated to continuously improve. This session represents just one of many efforts by Bali WISE to prepare every young woman for the professional world following their graduation. We remain committed to championing the rights of these extraordinary young women for a brighter future.
