On May 15th, 2025, Bali WISE held an impactful Anti-Human Trafficking Workshop as part of its ongoing mission to educate young women from exploitation. This workshop was led by Ms. Dinda. Firstly Ms. Dinda opened the workshop with an understanding about what human trafficking is, how it occurs, and why it remains a serious issue globally and in Indonesia.
“This is an important topic that everyone should know about, so that everyone knows the signs, be aware, and end the chain of human trafficking. Especially for young people looking for jobs in today’s modern era — don’t be easily fooled by sweet promises from anyone suspicious.” said Ms. Dinda, Bali WISE, Recruitment Officer.
Know the Signs to Save a Life

Bali WISE students’ Intake 61
Human trafficking happens everywhere around the world, many people get trafficked every year for forced labor, sexual exploitation, and other forms of abuse. Which is why this workshop is essential for every batch here at Bali WISE, to raise awareness and prevention for human trafficking before they begin their real world training experience. Intake 61 were actively engaged as they learned about the signs, the types of human trafficking, common tactics used by traffickers, and how to report suspicious activity.
“I learned how dangerous human trafficking is and how close it can be to our daily lives. The most important part of the workshop was when Ms. Dinda showed us the characteristics of human traffickers and a real case from a human trafficking victim, so I can be more aware in the future when looking for a job.“ said Bunga, Bali WISE Student Intake 61.

Lastly, before the session ends, Ms. Dinda separated the students into 4 groups, their job is to discuss and find a real case of any trafficking, what type of trafficking, how it happened, and why it happened. This is a well needed learning activity, in order to raise awareness and a prevention about human trafficking for the future generations to come. It’s a small but an important step to break the chains of human trafficking.
