Bali WISE held a disaster preparedness workshop focusing on earthquake and tsunami awareness for Intake 61 students, Regarding why Bali WISE held this workshop is due to the fact that Bali WISE campus is located in Nusa Dua in which this location is very close to the shoreline. Considering the area’s vulnerability to natural disasters, This workshop aims to equip the students with knowledge and practical life skills to protect themselves and assist others in the event of an emergency.
Emergency Skills Through Simulations and Role-Plays
The workshop was led by Ms. Tya who addressed various important issues, including the causes of earthquakes and tsunamis, how to recognize early warning signs, evacuation procedures, and what to include in an emergency bag. Students also participated in evacuation simulations and role-play exercises to practice guiding others to safety in a calm and effective manner. This practical addition ensures they are not only informed but also physically prepared to respond if disaster strikes, both at the campus and during their future training placements.
Bali WISE’s Ongoing Commitment to Student Safety
Thus why this workshop is vital to help increase the students’ value before they begin their 3-months internship training. Should a disaster occur at their training locations, the students will know how to respond effectively and help others around them. Through this program, Bali WISE continues its commitment to build strong, well-informed, and prepared young women who are ready to respond to real-world emergencies and challenges with confidence.
