
On October 30th, 2025, Intake 63 students went on their first field trip to Cuca Restaurant, marking an exciting milestone in their learning journey. During the visit, they gained hands-on exposure to the professional standards of the hospitality industry. The students learned practical serving techniques, including the proper way to open and serve wine to guests, as well as how to maintain excellent service etiquette. During the visit, they gained hands-on experience in the finer aspects of hospitality. Students learned essential skills such as how to properly open wine bottles and serve them to guests, as well as how to light cigars correctly for patrons. These practical demonstrations allowed them to practice professional etiquette and understand the importance of attention to detail in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
A Deeper Understanding of the Industry

The workshop was led by Ms. Erika the HR Manager at Cuca, and Mr. Aji. Beyond practical skills, the students received an in-depth lesson on hospitality and the operations behind a successful restaurant. They learned about the history of Cuca Restaurant, gaining insight into how it has evolved and earned its renowned reputation. This knowledge helped students appreciate the standards, values, and dedication required to create memorable experiences for guests.
Experiencing the Restaurant Firsthand

The students then enjoyed a full tour of the restaurant, visiting key areas including the kitchen, bar, and the Wall of Fame, where notable guests are celebrated. To complete the immersive experience, they were treated to two of Cuca’s signature desserts, giving them a firsthand taste of the restaurant’s culinary excellence. This combination of learning, observing, and tasting allowed Intake 63 to connect theory with practice, leaving them inspired and better prepared for their future careers in hospitality.
