On April 17, 2025, Alila Villas Uluwatu visited Bali WISE campus to give the students of intake 61 an insight about Hospitality Industry, Grooming Standards, Training Preparation, and Alila Villas Uluwatu Department Introduction. Those significant materials delivered by Ms. Dita, Learning and Development Manager of Alila Villas Uluwatu and Ms. Eva, HR Officer, For many of the students, it was their exciting opportunity to connect with professionals in the industry they are focused on.
A Look Into the Industry
The workshop kicked off with a presentation on grooming standards and workplace expectations, key aspects for anyone aiming to succeed in hospitality. Students learned how appearance, body language, and attitude all play important roles in the hospitality industry.
In addition to personal presentation, the Alila team shared valuable tips on how to prepare for training and job placement highlighting the importance of professionalism, time management, and adaptability. In the later session, the Alila team introduced the structure of departments at Alila Villas Uluwatu. From housekeeping and front office to food & beverage and spa services, students got a clear picture of the variety of roles available within a luxury resort setting. The Alila team also brought a small token for the students that are active in the Q&A session in the workshop as a token of thank you.
Laying the Foundation for Future Success
Workshops like these are deeply aligned with Bali WISE’s mission to empower young women through education and skills development. As the hospitality industry is one of Bali’s biggest employers, and giving students first hand exposure to hospitality life helps build their confidence and readiness for the future. For many of the students, this workshop wasn’t just informative, it was motivational. It showed them what’s possible, and reminded them that with dedication and preparation, a bright future is within reach.
