As part of their curriculum, Bali WISE students learn on organic farming and make a beverage from aloe vera. This topic seeks to educate the students on organic farming and food.
Students involved in a field excursion to collecting the main ingredient. Mr. Manaf guides them to select the best aloe vera. Aloe vera is a succulent plant. It grows well on our organic farm. Students make aloe vera ice drink. They follow step by step carefully as it is the first time for them to process the aloe vera into something that can be consumed. They peel the aloe vera skin and chop aloe vera flesh into cube shape followed by various steps to purify and filter the liquid. Giving extra skills to our students is important so they can have an edge in getting a quality job.
