To build up extra skills and knowledge for our students, we conducted several workshops in September, such as Sexual Harassment, First Aid training, Fire Prevention and Safety training, Fruit Carving, and Shark Conservation.

Workshops as Part of Our Curriculum

Workshops and training are part of the Bali WISE curriculum. The workshops and the training aim to build up extra skills and knowledge for Bali WISE students, as well as to address several issues they may encounter in the future and how they can deal with them.

September’s Workshops

September has been workshop month. We conducted several workshops such as Sexual Harassment, First Aid training, Fire Prevention and Safety  training, Fruit Carving, and Shark Conservation.

Each workshop will be a good addition to the students’ knowledge and will be useful in the future. First, they need to be able to know and identify the sexual harassment that they may encounter and how to deal with it. Second, the students were expected to know how to perform first aid in case a medical emergency occurs in their training place or workplace. Third, Fire Prevention and Safety training will provide them with knowledge and skills to put out a fire. Meanwhile, Fruit Carving skills may be an additional skill they can learn especially if they work in an event or kitchen department. Lastly, Shark Conservation will raise awareness of the importance of sharks in the marine ecosystem and what we can do to conserve them.
