Fire prevention is a crucial aspect of ensuring the safety of our homes and communities. A fire can strike at any moment, causing devastating damage and even loss of life. That’s why it’s essential to educate Bali WISE Students and those around them on fire safety and prevention. On 22nd February 2023, this beneficial workshop is conducted for Bali WISE Intake 52 students, which is done in Zerowaste Centre.

Be Prepared for the Worst

One of the primary topics covered in a fire prevention workshop is identifying potential fire hazards. This includes understanding which electrical appliances and equipment are prone to overheating and malfunctioning, and which flammable materials are commonly found in homes and workplaces. By identifying potential hazards, we can take preventative measures to reduce the risk of fires starting in the first place.

Creating and practicing a fire evacuation plan is also a critical part of fire prevention, when doing this, Bali WISE students are guided by Mr. Widi as a representative of Regional Agency for Disaster Management. In the workshop, all of the knowledge both practice and theory are given to the students. For the practical session, those students are directed to use manual appliances and a fire extinguisher in dealing with the fire hazard. By educating themselves and those around them, the students can take the necessary steps to prevent fires and keep themselves safe.
