On December 9, 2025, Bali WISE was honored with an invitation to the Australian Consulate General to participate in a specialized workshop. This event was held in observance of the “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence,” a global campaign running from November 25 to December 10. The session served as a platform for critical dialogue, bringing together advocates and experts to address the persistent challenges of gender inequality and safety in the modern age.

Sociological Perspectives on Safety

A highlight of the workshop was a presentation by Ms. Sukma, a distinguished sociology lecturer from Udayana University, who was invited to share her expertise on the pressing issue of digital violence. Her session, titled “Ending Digital Violence against Women and Young Women,” focused on the evolving nature of harassment in online spaces. By providing a sociological perspective, Ms. Sukma raised awareness about the psychological and social impacts of digital abuse. At the end of the session, the students also had a session to test their understanding about the issue and allowed to share their opinion or question which in line with the workshop
