Beach Training
Rainy Season on Bali can be quite challenging. Although it is a blessing for nature, on the beaches you will find a lot of trash, that has been washed up by the heavy rains and storms. One part of the Bali WISE program is to go on a Beach Training. This is why today, a group of students went to Kuta Beach to meet up with the Coca Cola Company’s Beach Cleaning staff.
As it was raining heavily throughout the morning, they were not able to clean up the beach. Thus, they had more time for the second part of the training: Being creative. For teaching the students new approaches to deal with trash, they were separated into two groups to create new things from materials, that were just thrown away carelessly on the beaches.
The groups consisted of Bali WISE students and Coca Cola staff. In that way, they could exchange ideas about Bali’s waste problem while being creative together.
