In welcoming the students, orientation is done aiming to introduce new individuals into a new environment, It is to help them become familiar and comfortable with their new surroundings. Hence, why on 2nd July, 2025, Bali WISE welcomed the new students of intake 62 to the program, with a total of 26 students from all around Indonesia— Bali, Java, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, Sumatera, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and Papua all gathered at Bali WISE campus— with the majority of them coming from Bali and Java. This marked their first day as students of Bali WISE.
The Essentials: People, Programs, and Purposes
The orientation started off by giving the students an introduction about R.O.L.E. Foundation and its programs— Bali WISE and ZeroWaste Center, Bali WISE’s official anthem, the rules in Bali WISE campus and dormitory, a breakdown of hospitality and digital marketing program, and lastly an introduction to all of R.O.L.E. Foundation’s staff.
After the introduction at the Bali WISE program, the students of intake 62 including all of the staff went to the ZeroWaste Center, it was where the fun began . For the last session of the orientation, intake 62 must form into 4 groups— Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green. All these four groups must play each game that the staff had arranged, they must accomplish every game together in order to earn a high score. The purpose of doing this was to make them less nervous and more comfortable with each other as they will spend six months together hand in hand and to test their trust against each other and their teamwork skills.
Winners, Smiles, and Six Months to Shine
With that the orientation closed off with an announcement of the best group that has participated in the games earning the highest points out of all groups which was won by Green Group, and an announcement to the most active students throughout the orientation which was won by Dewi. Bali WISE is excited to see what these students will achieve during their six months of training here.
