Yoga and baking at Bali WISE

February 8, 2021 By //  by roledmin Leave a Comment

At Bali WISE, the students are involved in many learning activities. The new intake 45 attended a baking class and students of both intake 44 and 45 have started a yoga practice.

Yoga with Ms. Ines

This year, Bali WISE has chosen to practice yoga every Wednesday to maintain the physical and mental being of students. Regular yoga has many benefits, including a healthier and stronger body, increasing body awareness, and helping to manage stress. Students are excited about this practice as they have never experienced yoga before.

ROLE Foundation’s volunteer Ines is experienced in the field. She started yoga 10 years ago and granted her teacher training in India. She has been teaching yoga in Portugal, South Africa, and now voluntarily in Bali WISE. She is happy to share her knowledge to the Bali WISE students to balance their body and mind to achieve peacefulness. The yoga session is at 3.15 p.m. every Wednesday for 60-75 minutes at the Bali WISE campus or the ZeroWaste Center.

Baking with Mrs. Dee

Practical learning is a must when learning about the subject Food and Beverage Products. Mrs. Dee, the Bali WISE F&B Product Teacher, conducted a baking class at the ZeroWaste Center on Wednesday, January 20th. She taught the students how to bake brownies and banana cake.

First, Mrs. Dee explained the recipe to the students of Bali WISE and presented the various types of ingredients. After a short description of the recipe, she proceeded to demonstrate her methods for making great and tasty cakes. Students have also involved in several steps to maximize the learning process. At the end of the class, the students get to taste the cake they made themselves.
