Human trafficking workshop is an educational session designed to increase awareness and provide information about human trafficking. Thus, from 13th to 17th February 2023, Bali WISE staffs get an opportunity to attend the workshop which purposes to educate individuals about the various forms of human trafficking including sex trafficking, forced labor, and debt bondage. Through this activity, the warning signs of human trafficking, and how to protect others who are being victimized are learned and observed.

Innovative Approaches to Combat Human Trafficking with Expert Practitioners

Taking place in Hotel Dafam, Yogyakarta. This comprehensive workshop is conducted by Faith Alliance Against Slavery and Trafficking in collaboration with Pearl and Dark Bali as local organizations which focus on anti-human trafficking. This workshop often involves interactive activities, case studies, and presentations by experts in the field. Some agendas may also feature survivors of trafficking sharing their experiences and offering insights into the realities of trafficking.

From Awareness to Action

The goal of human trafficking workshops is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize, prevent, and combat human trafficking in surrounding communities. This workshop brings together a diverse range of participants, including law enforcement officials, healthcare providers, social workers, educators, and community members. By bringing together these different stakeholders, workshops can help to foster communication and collaboration between different sectors and help to create a more coordinated and effective response to human trafficking.

Special thanks

We want to thank both Direct Aid Program (DAP) Australia and Australian Consulate-General in Bali for supporting this project. Through their support, we now have the resources to advance forward and join the fight to end human trafficking.
