As part of our ongoing commitment to serve and uplift the community, PELITA initiated its first project of the year. True to our mission of sharing light and making a positive impact, the project focused on distributing food to underprivileged communities in the Kedonganan, Jimbaran, and Nusa Dua areas. The project was organized and executed by passionate alumni from Intake 53 and 54.

The primary objective of this project was to provide immediate relief to those in need by distributing 140 packs of ‘nasi bungkus’ (packed rice meals). The alumni, driven by a sense of community and compassion, took the lead in organizing and implementing the project. Similar to previous initiatives, the cooking process involved a collective effort, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration.

The chosen areas of Kedonganan, Jimbaran, and Nusa Dua were identified as locations with underprivileged communities in need of support. The project aimed to reach those facing economic challenges and food insecurity, thereby making a meaningful impact on their lives.
In addition to providing essential sustenance, the project allowed for direct interaction with the community members. PELITA representatives engaged with the recipients, listening to their stories and understanding their needs. This two-way communication not only created a sense of empathy but also provided insights for future community projects.
