Meet Sri, a remarkable individual with an unwavering spirit and a strong drive to pursue her education. Hailing from Buleleng Regency, Sri’s father worked as a construction worker, while her mother cared for their family. Despite living with their elderly neighbor, Sri’s ultimate motivation was to provide her parents with a house of their own.

However, financial difficulties almost prevented Sri from continuing her studies after junior high school. It was a neighbor who suggested that she live in an orphanage to receive free education from the government. Time passed, and Sri completed high school. It was then that she learned about the Bali WISE program through a relative of her uncle.

Though initially hesitant, Sri’s desire to improve her English communication skills, her dream of working abroad, and the challenging economic situation of her family led her to apply for the Bali WISE program. As a basic student for three months, she thrived in learning about spa techniques and hospitality-related subjects. Her English skills improved significantly during this time.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted Bali’s hospitality sector, leaving many hotels and spas closed. Nonetheless, Sri was fortunate enough to secure a training opportunity in the Housekeeping Department at a hotel in the Nusa Dua area. Despite the challenges, she persevered.

Upon completing the program, Sri faced uncertainty in finding work during the pandemic. She briefly worked as a waitress at a fried chicken retail outlet, but her true passion lay elsewhere. When the situation eased and hotels and spas reopened, Sri seized the opportunity and became a daily worker at a five-star hotel in Nusa Dua, specializing in spa services. Her dedication paid off when a friend offered her a chance to work as a Spa Therapist abroad.

Today, Sri is living her dream, working in Turkey with a good salary that enables her to support her family financially. Her journey is a testament to perseverance and the pursuit of one’s aspirations. We couldn’t be prouder of Sri and her incredible achievements.
