Saturday, 29th October 2022 Bali WISE recruitment team and the alumni association of Bali WISE reached out to young women and parents in Karangasem and Buleleng area to present the Bali WISE program and distribute daily necessities.
Socializing Bali WISE Program
As Bali WISE’s mission is to empower young marginalized women to break the poverty cycle in Indonesia, thus it is essential to reach all the rural areas that are underdeveloped and receive less intention. This time, Bali WISE had a chance to sound the program to the Karangasem area. There was one organization, Carolia Charity, that facilitated Bali WISE to meet with the young women who are eager to continue their further education. It was interesting to see the enthusiasm of the young women in that area to have further education. This socialization aimed to encourage more young women to apply for the Bali WISE program to improve their skills.
Giving Back to Community through PELITA Project
Many Bali WISE alumni keep sharing how the program helps them in their careers and life. Thus, when they see other young women in the rural area need help, alumni help them by socializing with the program that brings them to the life they live now.
Bali WISE alumnae support Bali WISE by donating some amount of money to help others and this time was in the series of the recruitment visit, recruitment and Pelita team reached out also the parents of the young women in the Karangasem and Buleleng area after the Bali WISE program socialization has done.
In total, 4 houses were visited by the team to hand out the daily necessities. 2 of them were in Karangasem and the other 2 were in Buleleng. The distributed goods were rice, eggs, oil, coffee, and sugar. All the parents and family were happy to receive it. Bali WISE wishes to move this visit and project forward and hopes for a positive impact and development ahead.
