POLSEK Kuta Selatan Program for Youth

The issue of drug abuse and road safety is a major concern for law enforcement agencies around the world. In order to address this issue, Bali WISE organized a workshop on 16th march 2023, which inviting the South Kuta Sector Police (Polsek) to raise awareness among the students intake 52 about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of safe driving practices.

The workshop was attended by Bali WISE as well as its staff. The police officers leading the workshop began by discussing the negative impact that drug abuse can have on individuals and society as a whole. They explained how drug abuse can impair judgment, reduce reaction times, and increase the likelihood of accidents on the road.

The workshop also covered the importance of safe driving practices, such as avoiding distractions such as texting or using a mobile phone while driving, and following the traffic signs. The police officers emphasized the importance of following these practices to reduce the risk of accidents on the road.

In addition, the workshop provided information on the consequences of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The police officers explained the legal penalties for driving while impaired and stressed the importance of taking responsibility for one’s actions. The workshop also included a question and answer session, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and share their own experiences and concerns related to drug abuse and road safety.

Overall, the workshop was a success in raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of safe driving practices. It provided a platform for members of the public to engage with the police and to learn more about the steps they can take to keep themselves and others safe on the road. Bali WISE hopes that similar workshops will be organized in the future to continue this important conversation and promote safer roads for all.
