In the professional world, fraudulent schemes that lead to human trafficking remain a critical risk, particularly within the fast-growing hospitality and digital marketing sectors. To ensure our Bali WISE students are fully protected as they enter these industries, we recently hosted a vital ‘Anti-Human Trafficking’ workshop. A total of 31 enthusiastic students from our 65th intake participated, equipping themselves with the knowledge to navigate their future careers safely.
Spotting the Risk from Trafficking Types to Real Victim Testimonies

Led by Kak Aris, the workshop focused directly on the various forms of human trafficking and the critical warning signs students must watch out for. To deepen their understanding, Kak Aris shared real documentation and moving testimonies from victims, which significantly heightened the students’ awareness of these dangers. These firsthand accounts made it profoundly clear that human trafficking often operates subtly within society, frequently disguised as legitimate employment opportunities.
Sharing Personal Experiences and Community Stories

In the next session, Kak Aris opened a discussion about personal experiences and stories from relatives who had been affected by these schemes. Several students courageously shared incidents that had happened within their own communities and families. These personal accounts provided clear evidence that human trafficking is a deeply concerning issue that can affect anyone, regardless of background. This reality reinforces how crucial it is to protect our community by raising awareness, starting directly with the students of Bali WISE.
Steps toward a Secure and Vigilant Career Path

Human trafficking has become a frightening global issue that can affect individuals from any background and within any industry. Through this comprehensive workshop material, combined with personal stories and victim testimonials, our goal is to empower and protect Bali WISE students by raising deep awareness of these dangers. As they prepare to step into the professional world, we want them to feel vigilant, safe, and entirely confident in recognizing, avoiding, and reporting any irregularities they may encounter.
